Printed in Celebration
La Maldita Estampa is happy to present: Printed in Celebration, a collaborative print portfolio created by the five printmaking classes at The Art Students League of New York, celebrating its 150th anniversary this year.
This exhibition shows 55 prints, all in a 28 x 38 cm format, by students and their teachers. The portfolio lists an extraordinary variety of techniques: multi-plate etching, aquatint, stone and aluminum lithography, collagraph, linocuts, woodcut, screen print, photogravure, and letterpress among many others. As part of a long-term vision for the portfolio’s legacy, five reserved editions became part of significant public and institutional collections like the League’s permanent collection, The Old Print Shop of New York, and The New York Public Library’s distinguished print collection.
Printed in Celebration offers a window into the vibrant and diverse work of printmakers in New York, and opens a dialog between print artists across the Atlantic. The portfolio production has been organized by Sylvie Covey, and the coordination of the show at La Maldita Estampa by Diego Briceno.
Opening reception: December 5, 7pm.
On view December 5 to January 5, 2026.
Maldita Estampa Gallery: calle Aragon 112, Barcelona, Spain.
